Extremely high catalog value, so high it is almost embarrassing to state; we explain it below.
The grano for district, in the black shade, is worth € 6500,00 against € 200,00 for a single stamp on letter (accompanied by other examples). The gray one is worth € 6000,00 on cover in normal condition; isolated and not taxed for district, it is therefore worth thirty times the value of the black one (because 200 is to 6000 as 1 is to 30). This brings the catalog value to € 195000,00 (6000 x 30) + the 9-point cancellation valued at € 1500,00.
The "political" price of € 5000,00 therefore represents about 2.5% of the catalog value for this very precious example.
