The 20 centesimi value was issued in 1855, and it was always the "Prince" denomination of the Kingdom of Sardinia, as it covered the distance of the first inland port.
For the 20 centesimi, two value plates were prepared: the first includes the print runs from 1858 to 1860, the second includes the print runs from 1861 to 1862.
Among the most interesting colors are the cobalt blues of 1861, belonging to Plate II and highly sought after by collectors.
