One of the rarest stamps in the Lombardo Veneto collection in mint condition is the 2 kreuzer green newspaper tax stamp; four shades are catalogued: green, gray-green, yellow-green and blue-green. This stamp has a particular appeal not only due to its color, decidedly unusual for Lombardo Veneto in general, but also because of the compactness, thickness and color of its gum; a prestigious stamp that not every collection is lucky enough to include.
